What Is RSS?
Simply put, an RSS subscription will allow you to keep track of when new posts (or articles) are added to a blog (NewKidsLyrics.com is a blog).
You can liken it to checking email. Upon logging into your email software (Outlook, Yahoo Mail or GMail for example) you will see a list of new emails that you have not yet read. Similarly, upon logging into your RSS subscription reader, you will see a list of all new posts that you have not yet read for all the blogs that you are subscribed to.
Really, it’s only worth using an RSS subscription reader when you follow more than one blog. It will allow you to check updates on every single blog that you normally frequent, but in one convenient location, even sorted by categories if you wish.
Popular (and free) RSS subscription web sites, if that’s the route you want to go, include Google Reader and Bloglines.
Now, even more like using email, if that’s what you are used to, you can actually subscribe to blogs by email rather than using an RSS subscription web site. When new posts are added, you will simply receive an email with the new blog posts for you to read. Email subscription is a popular choice for RSS subscribers.
There is more to RSS than just blogs and web site subscription services but this article serves as a basic description for the question: What Is RSS?
Look to the top right of this site for your RSS subscription options for NewKidsLyrics.com. Keep in mind that subscribing to the RSS feed by email is different than the NewKidsLyrics.com email newsletter (found in the top center of the site).
